Noonan Energy is a 5th generation family-owned business looking for a full-time qualified and experienced Class A driver  with experience hauling fuel as well as delivering home heating oil in a straight truck.

Job Summary:
The tractor trailer driver will safely and efficiently haul fuel throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut in a timely and professional manner and deliver home heating oil as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
·       None.

Duties/Responsibilities:
·       Operates a semi-truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.

·       Transports fuel safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations.

·       Deftly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas.

·       Loads and offloads fuel safely, correctly and efficiently.

·       Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made.

Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.
·       Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to drive safely.
Ability to use navigation tools such as GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
Ability to plan delivery routes.
Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
Able to remain professional and courteous at all times.
Ability to pass a pre-employment Department of Transportation approved physical
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and submit to subsequent random drug tests throughout tenure as mandated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA)
·       Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.

·       Ability to remain focused in busy environment.

Education and Experience:
Valid Class A Driver’s license w/hazmat/tank endorsement and clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
·       Prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab for long periods of time.

·       Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds at a time.
