We are looking to fill one (1) position for a Propane Service Technician

Proctor Gas, Inc. will pay 100% of Reserve Select Tricare for eligible service members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned.
The propane service technician takes direction from and is responsible for performing work assigned by the dispatch/service manager. This includes but is not limited to setting and installing propane tanks and lines, conducting system test, leak/pressure tests, install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot gas fired equipment and appliances to our residential, commercial and industrial customers. Doing look-over’s for existing customers and potential new customer jobs. Assist in yard maintenance. Maintain service vehicle by reviewing maintenance record, perform pre-and post-trip inspections. Secure truck and equipment consistent with security policy.
Operate in a safe manner to minimize accidents to personnel, customers and property.
Provide service to customers at the direction of the dispatch/service manager.
Communicate any issues and/or problems immediately.
Maintain profession image and respectful relations with customers and the general public at all times.
Leave customer’s premises neat, clean.
Prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork.
Take a turn in the on call rotation.
Specific qualifications for the role include:
High School diploma, GED or equivalent training and experience
Must have a valid CDL B with HazMat and Air Brake endorsements
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions
Must have a valid DOT physical
Must have the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
Must also complete required job training
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel and crawl. The employee is frequently required to sit and climb. The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Must be able to climb a ladder.
Standing: The employee stands on the job to complete work related activities.
Walking: The employee walks intermittently during the day while performing their duties.
Sitting: The employee sit’s intermittently while driving to and between jobs.
Lifting/Carrying: 0 – 20 lbs often
21 – 50 lbs constantly
51 – 100 lbs constantly
101 – 200 lbs occasionally
201 + lbs occasionally
Push/Pulling: the employee is required to push and pull various parts and tools falling into the described weight categories depending on the job.
Stooping/Squatting: The employee is required to stoop or squat while performing various work related jobs.
Kneeling: The employee is required to kneel on occasion while performing various work related jobs.
Climbing and Reaching: The employee maybe required to climb approximately 2 feet and reach for handrails when entering and exiting a vehicle.
Twisting/Turning: The employee may twist or turn while performing normal work activities.
Hand Movements: The employee must use both hands and all fingers to perform normal work activities.
Gripping/Grasping: Employee must grip vehicle steering wheel, handrails, ladders, nozzles, tools etc intermittently throughout the day.
WORK CONDITIONS
Hours: 8–10 hours per day
Days: 5 days per week M- F with some Saturdays required
Extreme working conditions: Up to 95 degrees in summer and as low -20 degrees in winter.
